<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITE</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Restaurant Shift Manager assists the Food and Beverage Operations Manager in the day to day operations of the outlet.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Works with the Food and Beverage Operations Manager to achieve the established P&L guidelines </li><li>Assists in the hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining and scheduling of supervisors and line staff </li><li>Responsible for the requisition and inspection of all products and the maintenance of inventory par amounts </li><li>Assists in the preparation of payroll </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains the health, safety and sanitation of the restaurant in accordance to set guidelines </li><li>Promotes culinary concept in Marketing and Public Relations efforts </li><li>Maintains a working relationship with tenant partner and assumes an active role in marketing the restaurant concept </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors' Degree in Hospitality or Business Administration </li><li>Three years experience in a high volume complex Food and Beverage or casino environment with at least one year supervisory experience in a gourmet-specialty restaurant </li><li>In lieu of formal degree, must have two years supervisory experience in a high volume or gourmet themed restaurant </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate knowledge in Micros, Stratton Warren, Word, Excel and Lotus Notes </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must complete and pass the Core Supervisor Training course </li><li>Excellent understanding of all beverage service techniques, food preparation and products and cooking techniques, including table side service </li><li>Thorough understanding of P&L evaluation, sales forecasting, budget costs, utilization and Key Volume Indicator analysis </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and lifting </li><li>Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li><li>Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for short periods of time </li><li>Fast paced kitchen environment </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
