<p>Council on Aging DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervises all social service technicians and clerical/dispatcher </li><li>Updates and maintains information necessary to fulfill state reporting requirements </li><li>Schedules and assigns transportation routes using applicable computer software </li><li>Dispatches vehicles to ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of elderly residents </li><li>Creates and updates informational brochures for the senior transportation system </li><li>Participates in public forums to explain transportation services to senior groups </li><li>Reports activities at monthly board meetings of the Council on Aging </li><li>Manages the transportation fleet </li><li>Ensures compliance with all vehicle/drivers' state regulations </li><li>Performs all other related duties </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUJREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, some college coursework or certification in transportation, logistics, or customer service preferred. </li><li>Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in transportation coordination, fleet management, or logistics, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role </li><li>Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with transportation management or dispatch software </li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations, including elderly and disabled individuals </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work independently or as part of a team </li><li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction </li><li>Massachusetts driver's license required </li></ul> <p>Application:</p> <p>To apply, please complete a City of Quincy Employment Application and follow the directions on the Job Postings Page.</p>
