<p>Description:Overview</p> <p>You will be the lead Manufacturing Engineer, Staff for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) development team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes for the NGI program as it transitions from development to low-rate initial production.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <p>As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team focused on ensuring designs are producible and cost-competitive. You will evaluate designs, develop manufacturing readiness assessments, and create proposals to meet customer needs.</p> <p>Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluating designs and providing manufacturing feedback </li><li>Developing manufacturing readiness assessments and proposals </li><li>Creating manufacturing bill of materials (MBOMs) and assessing make or buy decisions </li><li>Presenting program status information to customers and stakeholders </li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Production Operations, Program Management, and Engineer and Technology stakeholders </li><li>Supporting fabrication of early development builds and presenting at design and manufacturing reviews </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <p>We're looking for a talented and collaborative Manufacturing Engineer to lead our team. Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. </li><li>Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required to start. </li><li>Experience in creating and maintaining MBOMs </li><li>Experience with Manufacturing / Assembly / Production processes </li><li>Shop floor Manufacturing Engineer experience </li><li>Experience with creating/reviewing work instructions </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>CREO Design Experience or other CAD program </li><li>Experience with MPMLink </li><li>Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification </li><li>Experience working with Government customers </li><li>Earned Value Management and/or Control Account Manager (CAM) experience </li><li>Experience with Circuit Card Assemblies, harness and General Assembly </li><li>Knowledge within the SAP MRP production control system </li></ul> <p>Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.</p> <p>Clearance Level: Secret</p> <p>Other Important Information You Should Know</p> <p>Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
