Click here to learn more about Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute Position Overview: The Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) isresponsible for leading the shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure delivery of high-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow. In conjunction with the Department Nursing Operations Manager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and is responsible for the unit's clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment. Participate in the shared leadership structure. Manage staffing assignments for incoming and outgoing shifts based on patient acuity and team member skill sets to ensure patient care needs are met. Coordinate patient flow by collaborating with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes. Monitor overall patient status within the area of responsibility, with close attention to seriously ill patients. Coordinate and/or participate in patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with physician orders, policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Act as a resource to support frontline team members and providers as appropriate. Support clinical collaboration with a focus on expected patient length of stay. Perform direct patient care activities as needed to meet operational requirements. Interface with patients and families to enhance the customer experience through Nurse Leader rounds and by investigating and responding to complaints. Participate in and/or lead safety huddles. Embrace, communicate, and promote change and problem-solving initiatives. Assess equipment needs to ensure staff have the necessary tools for patient care and can use them appropriately. Support and sustain all leader-driven initiatives. Assist with retention strategies for new team members to foster a "Best Place to Work" environment. Maintain a regulatory-ready environment of care. Ensure appropriate allocation and adjustment of staff, assignment of meal breaks, and relief of team members as needed. Utilize effective fiscal management skills and financial resources in decision-making. Maintain regular, punctual attendance in compliance with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws (ADA, FMLA, etc.). Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure/Certification Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification in area of expertise preferred. May require one or more of the following certifications based on assigned patient population: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Experience Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; acute care setting preferred.</p> <p>Education/Training Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
