<p>Job Title: English Learner Program Teacher (ELPT)</p> <p>The English Learner Program Teacher (ELPT) is responsible for providing high-quality, tailored instruction to students whose first language is not English. This role focuses on developing students' language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and preparing them for academic success in an English-speaking environment. The Instructor works closely with students to improve their English skills, while also supporting them in adapting to the cultural and academic demands of the school or institution.</p> <p>Epic Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated English Learner Program Teacher (ELPT) to support and advance the educational success of English Learners (ELs). The ideal candidate will hold a Bilingual and/or ESL Endorsement and have strong knowledge of standards and district policies.</p> <p>Key Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited institution </li><li>Bilingual and/or ESL Endorsement (required) </li><li>Knowledge of WIDA ELD, CCSS, and other relevant standards </li><li>Familiarity with district policies for ELs </li><li>Experience promoting high-quality instruction and advocating for equity </li></ul> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Share and uphold CPS and OLCE's Vision and Mission </li><li>Coordinate administration of State-prescribed Screeners (e.g., WIDA Screener) and update results in Aspen </li><li>Ensure proper placement and transition of ELs through review of rosters and ACCESS reports </li><li>Distribute CPS Parent Notification Letters and translated versions as needed </li><li>Collaborate with special education staff for appropriate EL service delivery </li><li>Coordinate and administer ACCESS testing and submit necessary reports </li><li>Maintain updated EL profiles and documentation </li><li>Facilitate State-mandated EL PD sessions and monitor participation </li><li>Support development of curriculum and instructional plans aligned with CCSS & WIDA </li><li>Participate on the school ILT representing ELs and collaborate with faculty for differentiated instruction </li><li>Support administration in submitting required OLCE forms </li><li>Monitor progress for Transition (T1-T4) students and provide additional interventions as needed </li><li>Promote family engagement and support school efforts to engage parents/guardians of ELs </li></ul> <p>How to Apply: Interested candidates should apply now and submit a resume/cover letter detailing their qualifications for position to hr@epicacademy.org.</p> <p>Join EPIC Academy and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students!</p>
