<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Under direct supervision of the inmate drug testing Sergeant, incumbent will conduct random and target drug testing for the South Carolina Department of Corrections in accordance with the agency's drug testing policy.</p> <p>Update drug test results into the SCDC Mainframe system through CRT entry.</p> <p>Maintain drug testing supply inventory and distribute supply orders as directed.</p> <p>Train and certify Institutional drug testing officers.</p> <p>Performs other security related duties as required.</p> <p>Will travel daily to institutions and other assigned sites throughout the state.</p> <p>1 Position Available</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>U.S. Citizen. </li><li>18 and over. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li><li>Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. </li><li>Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more, or a fine of $1,000. </li><li>Must pass a physical exam administered by SCDC. </li><li>Must successfully complete the Correctional Officer Basic Certification Course within the first 6 months of placement into the position. </li></ul> <p>Certification as a Drug Testing Instructor within 6 months of entry into the position.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
