<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>In the Emergency Department ED at Saint Mary's Hospital, the Registered Nurse RN plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Engaging in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department ED nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.</p> </li><li> <p>Applying critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Pursuing certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Emergency Room ER or Acute InPatient nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS and TNCC: Required within three months of hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits:</p> <p>Full-Time - 36 hours per week - Night Shift</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hours for this shift can be either 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
