<p>Company:</p> <p>Compassus</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Recruiter is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. S/he will lead the effort to source, contact, and process all qualified candidates related to full-cycle recruitment.</p> <p>Position Specific Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Partners with leaders and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. </li><li>Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. </li><li>Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings. </li><li>Meets recruiting metrics for hiring goals within their assigned territory and reports progress to the hiring team. </li><li>Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the company and position including job duties/responsibilities, compensation, benefits programs, work schedule/conditions, career advancement opportunities, etc. </li><li>Coordinates all recruiting activities for the candidate and hiring team. </li><li>Conducts and scores, or arranges for, testing of applicants, records results, and other relevant information. </li><li>Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the company. </li><li>Maintains candidate engagement by calling, emailing, and text messaging candidates for outreach, follow-up, job offers, and issue resolution. </li><li>Coordinates participation in, sets up displays, and works at job fairs. </li><li>Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants. </li><li>Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the company and opportunities. </li><li>Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. </li><li>Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates. </li><li>Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. </li><li>Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants. </li><li>Performs reference and background checks on applicants. </li><li>Coordinates communications with applicants. </li><li>Prepares and extends offers; prepares and/or authorizes appropriate paperwork. </li><li>Files and maintains employment records for future reference. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. </li><li>At least six (6) months of experience in recruiting, sales, or related field strongly preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. </li><li>Experience with behaviorally based interview techniques preferred. </li><li>Experience in using an applicant tracking system and/or candidate relationship management system preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. </li><li>Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications. </li><li>Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Strong candidate assessment skills. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
