Proactively seeks to identify, screen possible English Learners, assess, and collaborate with</p> <p>all staff members to ensure English Language Development instruction, monitoring, and support is</p> <p>provided within all subject areas.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>? Facilitates learning and instruction by using multiple presentation methods: demonstrating,</p> <p>modeling, visual representations, and strategies that aid in supplementing and engaging students</p> <p>in the content.</p> <p>? Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines and</p> <p>requirements of state and school.</p> <p>? Adapts/Scaffolds/Differentiates materials, assignments, and assessments to meet the needs of</p> <p>English language learners.</p> <p>? Collaborates with all staff members to link ESL and content instruction and student needs to</p> <p>provide support for English language learners.</p> <p>? Administers assessments to evaluate the progress and results and issues reports to inform all</p> <p>stakeholders of student progress.</p> <p>? Keeps and maintains grades, attendance, lesson plans, student records, discipline information</p> <p>? Maintains a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.</p> <p>? Ensures communication and translation/interpretation for stakeholders (parents/guardians) in their</p> <p>native language when possible</p> <p>? Participates in multiple meeting types: department, building, faculty, and professional meetings,</p> <p>educational conferences, professional development, and workshops.</p> <p>? Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>? Bachelor's degree in Education from a four-year college or university</p> <p>? Valid Missouri State Certification in grade level or content area assigned</p> <p>?
