Then come grow with us!</p> <p>About the Role (job title and summary):</p> <p>With direction from the Senior Production Manager, the Processing Manager is responsible for supporting and executing all phases of processing, beginning at plant harvest. Key phases include harvest, drying, bucking, curing, trimming. Processing Managers are responsible for leading, developing and coaching assigned Leads and respective technicians to effectively and compliantly execute all assigned Processing tasks.The Processing Manager responsibilities include quality control, damaged product/waste disposal and at times special projects assigned by the Senior Production Manager or Director of Production.. Excellent work environment with a full benefit package offered including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, holidays, pet insurance, and other paid leaves of absence.</p> <p>How you'll make a difference (required duties and responsibilities):</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Production Support</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all processing tasks in accordance with defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in full-compliance with applicable regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the safe, accurate, compliant and timely production of high-quality products</p> </li><li> <p>Harvest:</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees Processing Technicians during harvest and post-harvest workflows. Collaborates with Cultivation leadership to determine the starting date of harvest. Conveys harvest information to Production leadership. Observes harvest workflow to determine best labor deployment / strategy. Responsible for communicating status of anticipated harvests and needed dry rooms to Facilities team for environmental systems adjustments.</p> </li><li> <p>Post Harvest Processing:</p> </li><li> <p>Works with DoP and SPM to determine timing of branch down, bucking, and trimming for all harvested batches.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all department activity adheres to GMP standards; generates Batch Records at starting point of post-harvest Processing workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures staff maintain clean equipment and work areas</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for reviewing and ensuring accuracy of all Production batch records prior to packaging</p> </li><li> <p>Bulk Flower Handling & Storage:</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for generating Metrc harvest ID and RFID sticker for each batch, as well as ensuring all storage containers within a batch are adequately labeled with their Metrc harvest ID</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains monthly audit of WIP bulk flower and provides to Inventory Manager for monthly Rollforward.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors environmentals for all drying rooms and WIP plant material storage areas daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages cannabis byproduct (trim, kief) and movement of cannabis byproduct inventory within Dutchie to respective storage areas following processing.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures quality control measures to ensure high-quality products</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures daily compliance with company policies, SOPs and all state regulations (including testing)</p> </li><li> <p>Advises on any potential adjustments to the schedule to fit the overall needs of the department based on the assigned goals designated by the Senior Production Manager or Director of Production</p> </li><li> <p>Manages daily meetings striving for quality interaction with assigned Leads and respective teams</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares inventory reports to ensure that our products are accurate and available to achieve our monthly and annual budget goals</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts ongoing, individual "check-ins" with assigned team members to help ideally drive above and beyond KPI performance</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with hiring and the onboarding of new employees; related duties include but are not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for facilitating and tracking 30/60/90 day [probationary period] performance</p> </li><li> <p>Provides direct and timely constructive feedback to enable and encourage success</p> </li><li> <p>Tracks and reports employee attendance; notifies HR of any potential concerns</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for developing, training, and coaching assigned employees by shift, as well as assessing employee performance providing constructive, timely feedback and potential enhanced training opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Understands and consistently complies with the proper and safe handling of hazardous materials</p> </li><li> <p>Performs quality control inspections on cannabis products and bi-products throughout the finishing process and assists in recording those inspections in accordance with applicable guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to inventory controls and processes throughout processing and may also assist in conducting inventory tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Uses automated processing equipment in accordance with defined safety procedures to sort, package, and trim products</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for accurately weighing finished products and recording in appropriate systems for tracking purposes</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately tracks all processing and product information in accordance with SOPs</p> </li><li> <p>Meets daily goals and processing objectives set</p> </li><li> <p>Stores and transports product in designated areas and ensures product storage is done in accordance with regulatory compliance guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains cleanliness and sanitization of cultivation and production zones, tools and equipment and also ensure personal hygiene is maintained prior to handling product and bi-products</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following OSHA regulations, organization standards and legal regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be 21 years of age or older</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of working in a commercial cannabis production environment required</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience training and coaching processing and packaging teams preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices</p> </li></ul> <p>Computers and Technology</p> <ul> <li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (with advanced Excel skills including the ability to produce charts, graphs, and pivot tables) </li><li>Experience utilizing a seed-to-sale tracking and inventory systems, preferably METRC and Biotrack </li></ul> <p>Perks & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Full suite of medical, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>Paid parental leave </li><li>401 (k) </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Short Term and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Employee life insurance and supplemental life </li><li>Spouse and child life and ADD&D </li><li>Pet insurance </li><li>FSA and HAS available </li><li>Based on eligibility. </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Approximately, Monday through Friday, standard business hours </li></ul> <p>Subject to change as business needs.</p> <p>Work Environment and Physical Demands:</p> <p>The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
