<p>Eastern Connecticut State University is accepting applications for the position of Head Cross Country/Assistant Track Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position.</p> <p>The Head Coach will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of a program focused on excellence at the national level. Candidates should have a proven ability to develop a highly competitive program, with a strong commitment to the student-athlete experience. Candidates should have a background in distance coaching and will be expected to recruit competitive distance rosters for both men and women.</p> <p>Specific duties will include, but are not limited to: recruiting and retention of student-athletes, practice and meet preparation and coaching, supervision of part-time assistant coaches, developing alumni relations, and fundraising to provide for team opportunities. In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling meets, budget management, and filing necessary reports. The coach will have primary oversight of any home cross country meet management. The Head Coach must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, Eastern Connecticut State University, and Little East Conference rules and regulations.</p> <p>Our preferred candidate will have the proven leadership skills to create a championship culture.
