Marshall!</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Banner Position Number 001700 Position Title Associate Professor / Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Cardiovascular Services Classification Title Associate Professor Department SOM-Cardiovascular Services - MU9452 Job Description</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serves as Principal Investigator or Co- Investigator on research projects related to cardiovascular disease, aging, obesity diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. </li><li>Develop and maintain a robust, independently funded research program in mechanistic translational, or population-based cardiovascular science. </li><li>Lead and contribute NIH R01 and other major grant applications. </li><li>Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings. </li><li>Foster collaboration with clinical and basic science faculty across disciplines. </li><li>Mentor medical residents, graduate residents, and postdoctoral fellows. </li><li>Pursue and maintain external funding from NIH, AHA, CDC, and other agencies. </li><li>Engage in limited teaching responsibilities as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Location MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine Salary Range Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D..
