Serving customers in government & defense, medical, safety & security, energy, industrial, and robotics markets, we are strategically positioned across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to meet the needs of a worldwide customer base.</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>The Electrical Engineering Technician (EET) assists the New Product Development (NPD) electrical engineering team with the design and development of new and existing lithium-ion battery and charger/power system designs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Tests/troubleshoots/debugs assembled PCBs and systems. </li><li>Assembles/modifies engineering prototype systems and PCBs </li><li>Inspects designs and finished products for quality control and compliance with regulations. </li><li>Builds, calibrates, and repairs electrical instruments and testing equipment. </li><li>Analyzes test information to resolve design problems. </li><li>Conducts research experiments and produces professional reports. </li><li>Takes direction from NPD team and executes independently. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A.A.S. in an Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar discipline</p> </li><li> <p>5 years minimum relevant experience</p> </li><li> <p>Expert level soldering and mechanical assembly skills</p> </li><li> <p>IPC-610A, or equivalent, solder certification desired</p> </li><li> <p>Expert in reading digital and analog schematics, BOMs and assembly drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with lab equipment used in electronics design including but not limited to Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Logic Analyzers, and Voltage and Current measuring devices</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with Windows PCs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge in the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Altium CAD</p> </li><li> <p>SolidWorks</p> </li><li> <p>LabVIEW</p> </li><li> <p>Embedded SW</p> </li><li> <p>Microprocessors and Microcontrollers</p> </li><li> <p>Attention to detail, logical reasoning, analytical skills, and communication are a must.</p> </li></ul> <p>Travel up to 10% of the time to support field issues or projects at other Ultralife sites.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Ultralife Corporation is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
