<p>This is responsible work performing assigned event and facility related technical, administrative, and clerical tasks in support of various daily operations at an assigned City public assembly/event facility. Work involves providing information regarding rental of the facility; coordinating and booking events; general communication with the public; performing cashier functions; maintaining moderately complex fiscal, operating, personnel, payroll, and facility activity records; providing lead supervision and direction to other employees; and monitoring and controlling the quantity and quality of the unit's work output. Work requires considerable skill in tactfully but firmly administering policies and procedures; the ability to communicate effectively with facility lessees, promoters, employees, consultants, vendors, sponsors, artists, and patrons; and the ability to exercise considerable sound judgment and initiative when carrying out daily assignments and addressing daily work challenges. An employee in this position may act in a supervisory capacity directing the work of others during events. An employee in this position may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.</p> <p>Salary: $54,540 - $86,664</p> <p>Close Date: 05-05-2026 (11:59 PM)</p> <p>To Qualify</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:</p> <ul> <li>Have a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency. </li><li>Possess and maintain a valid Driver License. </li><li>Have considerable experience successfully administering the principles, practices and techniques of public relations and customer service work. </li><li>Have some experience with event booking and management. </li><li>Have some experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. </li><li>Have good computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and database entry to produce required documents and reports. </li><li>Be able to enforce rules, regulations and policies with tact, firmness and impartiality. </li><li>Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with all levels of employees, customers and patrons. </li><li>Be able and willing to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:</p> <ul> <li>Have progressive, professional experience in marketing and sales, public facility rentals, public relations, and/or administrative office support. </li><li>Have some experience with Oracle e-Business Suite. </li><li>Have some experience with ActiveNet booking software. </li><li>Have experience in money handling procedures. </li><li>Are able to set-up and maintain accurate records, ledgers and filing systems, and prepare reports. </li><li>Have some knowledge of how to conduct entertainment facilities support tasks including reservations, bookings, and box office controls. </li><li>Are able to effectively train employees to perform related work. </li><li>Are highly motivated to identify opportunities for improvement in services, and to implement desirable operational and procedural changes. </li><li>Are able to outline and direct staffing, including contingency plans, for handling a variety of events and activities. </li></ul> <p>Selection Process</p> <p>IMPORTANT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS</p> <p>For purposes of employment, re-employment, promotion, transfer or demotion, the most qualified applicants will be selected to continue in the hiring process.
