This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that's constantly evolving.</p> <p>Main responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the workforce in the accomplishment of day-to-day assignments </li><li>Oversees pallet assembly to ensure stores receive the cases they ordered, on well-built pallets, and securely wrapped before being loaded onto trailers </li><li>Resolves inventory discrepancies and issues credits to stores when appropriate </li><li>Ensures steady workflow through the warehouse via routine spot checks on the progress of associates and adjusts manpower to increase efficiency </li><li>Maintain daily production and accuracy records </li><li>Develop productive associates through training, coaching, and disciplining, when necessary, to achieve company goals and objectives </li></ul> <p>We are looking for candidates who possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience including lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Company </li><li>Possess good supervisory & Team Leadership skills and the ability to work and motivate others to achieve positive results </li><li>Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports </li><li>Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions </li><li>Basic computer skills required, and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing and spreadsheet applications. </li><li>Experience using a WMS (Manhattan) </li><li>Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems. The work environment is hectic and fast-paced </li><li>Ability to work in controlled temperature environments ranging from room temperature to 28 degrees </li><li>This position requires considerable amounts of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
