<p>The Early Learning Center Director is responsible for overseeing the early childhood education program. The ELC Director is accountable for overall operational management according to well-established guidelines, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, financial management, legal compliance, and long-range planning.</p> <p>Administration</p> <ul> <li>Recruitment and retention of families in the Early Childhood program </li><li>Touring of prospective families </li><li>Collect registrations, maintain rosters and waiting lists </li><li>Continually evaluate programs, solicit feedback, review and analyze results </li><li>Prepare and maintain all required statistics, records and licensing reports </li><li>Child files need to be complete and up to date as required by Dept of Ed and Dept of Human Services </li><li>Purchase, allocate and supervise use of program supplies and equipment </li></ul> <p>Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Manage recruitment, hiring, training and supervising all Early Childhood staff </li><li>Coordinate bi-monthly staff meetings for training and administrative purposes </li><li>Provide on the job supervision </li><li>Manage preparing annual written evaluations on entire Early Childhood staff </li></ul> <p>Budget</p> <ul> <li>Monitor budgets within established parameters </li><li>Budget compliance on a monthly basis </li><li>Process voucher invoices for payments </li><li>Organize non-PTO preschool fundraisers </li></ul> <p>Planning and Development</p> <ul> <li>Manage development and implementation of all aspects of Early Childhood programs </li><li>Room requisitions for all programming </li><li>Manage development of school calendar </li><li>Safeguard the health and safety of students </li><li>Participate in staffing major JCC programs or events outside of department when assigned </li><li>Identify opportunities for new services that meet the needs of children and families in the Jewish community and develop new programs to fulfill these needs </li><li>Manage recruiting new PTO and Early Childhood Committee members </li></ul> <p>Public Relations</p> <ul> <li>Organize parent-teacher conferences on an annual basis </li><li>Be accessible to parents daily </li><li>Provide opportunities for family involvement in the program </li><li>Collaborate with marketing personnel to produce materials related to the Early Childhood program </li><li>Communicate policies and programs in a professional manner to families and staff </li><li>Develop strategies for cooperative ventures with other organizations that serve children and families; both in and outside the Jewish community </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least five years of experience, including leadership experience, working in early childhood education settings. </li><li>Understanding of current best practices in Early Childhood Education. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. </li><li>At least 3 years of administrative experience in early childhood education or related field. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. </li></ul>
