Posting Number 20166740S Job Description</p> <p>This position implements processes and programs that enhance the medical students' experience and success across the three campuses for the Heritage College. Serves as a success advisor for identified students, including primarily those that have underperformed academically or otherwise struggled faced challenges in achieving academic success. Supports medical students academic, career, and personal growth. Facilitates students' effective use of college and campus resources. Requires the use of crisis management techniques as students may seek immediate support for perceived/actual academic, personal, and professional challenges.</p> <p>Support Student Success</p> <ul> <li>Support the progress and professional development of Heritage College students to ensure that they are prepared to enter Graduate Medical Education (GME) successfully. </li><li>Conduct scheduled and impromptu one-on-one meetings (face-to-face and virtual) with students identified through processes determined by the college. </li><li>Assess individual students' challenges and concerns, provide advice and counsel, assist in developing plans of action, connect to campus and college resources as appropriate, and actively monitor student progress. </li><li>Respond, support, and direct students during personal or professional crisis. Coordinate support plans for medical students in relation to interpersonal conduct and impairments. Advocate and support medical students experiencing impairments. </li><li>Actively monitor student progress. Document contacts and produce reports as needed to advance the success of individual students as well as to contribute to assessment and evaluation of overall unit programmatic efforts. </li><li>Provide updates to individual faculty and staff as needed and appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of student information as required by policy and law. </li><li>Maintain effective working relationships with college resources related to mental health counseling, student life, financial aid, learning services, residency advising and others as needed. </li><li>Maintain thorough understanding of campus and college resources and policies, college curricular expectations, college professionalism expectations, policies and procedures of the Committee on Student Progress and the Professionalism Committee and other information as needed. </li><li>Advise unit leadership regarding identified student feedback regarding campus culture and overall college student experience. </li></ul> <p>Program planning and evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Participate in and contribute to planning and coordination effort of college-wide student success initiatives. </li><li>Participate in committees and assist with project development and implementation as directed. </li><li>Contribute to program assessment, evaluation and communication activities </li><li>Maintain knowledge of professional research, trends and best practices through professional development activities. </li><li>Participate in specialized training as needed. </li></ul> <p>Campus-specific participation</p> <p>Collaborate with Student Affairs staff (and, where appropriate, the Senior Director of Operations for Dublin or Cleveland) with the execution and support of campus-specific programs and activities consistent with other responsibilities.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree - Social Work, Student Personnel, Communications, or Higher Education Administration</p> <p>3-5 years of related experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's Degree</p> <p>Department HCOM - Student Affairs Pay Rate</p> <p>$44,592 - $59,085</p> <p>Job Open Date 04/25/2025 Posting Close Date</p> <p>These positions will remain open until filled.
