<p>Title: Occupat Therapist</p> <p>Department Org: Acute Occupational Therapy - 109250</p> <p>Employee Classification: B5 - Unclass Full Time AFSCME HSC</p> <p>Bargaining Unit: AFSCME HSC</p> <p>Primary Location: HSC H</p> <p>Shift: 1</p> <p>Start Time: 0730 End Time: 1600</p> <p>Posted Salary: $31.15 - $37.97</p> <p>Float: True</p> <p>Rotate: True</p> <p>On Call: True</p> <p>Travel: False</p> <p>Weekend/Holiday: True</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Administers, supervises and directs the administration of occupational therapy evaluations, therapeutic activity, construction of orthotics and instruction in their use upon referral from a physician and in conjunction with the physician establishes, supervises, and directs the appropriate treatment program of patients.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/experience/licensing:</p> <ul> <li>Must maintain current, active licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers. </li><li>Maintains the Standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics. </li><li>American Heart Association CPR required and must be maintained throughout employment in position. At time of hire only will accept American Red Cross CPR Certification. </li><li>Passes annual safety test. </li><li>Achieves competencies for assigned work area as dictated by director (i.e., age specific, suctioning, aseptic technique). </li></ul> <p>Communication and other skills:</p> <ul> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills to allow for functioning as a team member, assure adequate documentation for payors, and to ensure continuity of care. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>1) Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;</p> <p>2) Ability to hear (with or without aides);</p> <p>3) Ability to orally communicate;</p> <p>4) Good manual dexterity;</p> <p>5) Ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally;</p> <p>6) Ability to stand, walk frequently;</p> <p>7) Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently;</p> <p>8) Ability to perform CPR (if a required for position).</p> <p>Conditions of Employment:</p> <p>To promote the highest levels of health and well-being, the University of Toledo campuses are tobacco-free.
