<p>Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is immediately seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Software Application Support Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical systems in a dynamic IT environment. This entry-level role is ideal for entry level candidates or professionals early in their careers who are looking to build a strong foundation in infrastructure, monitoring, and application support within a high-availability environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the monitoring, maintenance, and support of internal infrastructure platforms </li><li>Participate in deployment and release activities across multiple environments </li><li>Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot application issues </li><li>Contribute to 24x7 support operations for high-criticality applications (on-call rotation may apply) </li><li>Learn and apply DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and cloud-based infrastructure concepts </li><li>Help develop and maintain documentation related to system processes and procedures </li><li>Analyze telemetry data and support incident response efforts using monitoring and alerting tools* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience </li><li>Strong interest in infrastructure, DevOps, and application support roles </li><li>Willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment </li><li>Good communication skills and an eagerness to learn and grow technically </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills (not required, but beneficial for success in this role):</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to internal cloud environments (e.g., Kubernetes, VMware) </li><li>Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk or AppDynamics </li><li>Basic understanding of Java development and application architecture </li><li>Prior experience (including internships) with 24x7 operational support </li><li>Hands-on with application deployment and release management </li><li>Working knowledge of databases such as SQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar SQL/NoSQL technologies </li></ul>
