You may upload these documents to the application under CV/Resume.</p> <p>Required education and experience</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate PhD. in biochemistry, cell biology, or genetics. </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent ability in yeast genetics, cell biology and fluorescence spectroscopic methods for quantifying ligand binding affinities.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with sterol binding protein biology in yeast.</p> </li><li> <p>Outstanding analytical skills including in western blotting, RT-PCR and ELISA.</p> </li><li> <p>Organized and hard-working person who performs to a high standard.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent ability in yeast genetics and cell biology.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with vps74/GOLPH3 biology in yeast.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.</p> </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Research</p> <ul> <li>Performs genetic and cell biological experiments in yeast, participation in developing and characterizing new yeast models for studying novel lipid signaling pathways. </li></ul> <p>Lab Specific Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Technical, work cooperatively with others, verbal communications, written communications, analytical skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, problem solving, detail oriented, Cell Biology and Genetics.</p> </li><li> <p>General lab duties.</p> </li></ul> <p>Mentoring</p> <ul> <li>May assist, mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project. </li></ul> <p>Presentation</p> <ul> <li>Prepare research presentation materials. </li></ul> <p>Why Texas A&M University?</p> <p>We are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.?
