<p>Job Title: Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer will be a crucial member of the R&D team, contributing significantly to the development of the next-generation robotic platform aimed at transforming healthcare. This role involves working on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, from prototype to verification builds, within a regulated medical device environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design of complex DV fixtures from initial requirements and concept generation through to detailed drawings, design reviews, and print release. </li><li>Support product-level design work as needed. </li><li>Identify and implement improvements in the lineup of DV fixtures. </li><li>Assist in the development of firmware and software requirements for fixtures. </li><li>Author and maintain documentation related to fixture designs and DV tests. </li><li>Perform fixture qualifications and process validations. </li><li>Maintain disciplined test, configuration control, documentation, and configuration management processes. </li><li>Support various multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of diverse sizes and scopes. </li><li>Facilitate vendor communications and resolve procurement issues. </li><li>Manage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environments. </li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a closely related field. </li><li>Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace. </li><li>Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems. </li><li>Knowledge of industry best practices for the development of complex electromechanical systems. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in CAD, with Solidworks preferred. </li><li>Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). </li><li>A working knowledge of drafting standards, including GD&T (Y14.5-2018). </li><li>Outstanding documentation and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in using MS Office. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with V&V (Verification & Validation) is a plus. </li><li>Experience in design transfer/new product introduction is highly desired. </li><li>A working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/A), Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis. </li><li>Proficiency in developing production and fixture documentation, including bills of material (BOMs) and assembly drawings. </li><li>Experience with statistical tools and software such as Minitab. </li><li>Experience using, modifying, and programming in MATLAB Simulink or LabView. </li><li>Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership. </li><li>Experience in project management, including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structures. </li><li>Ability to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
