<p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Lead the end-to-end design, analysis, and development of propulsion systems for advanced satellites, ensuring mission requirements are met. </li><li>Oversee the integration, testing, and qualification of propulsion systems, including hardware-in-the-loop and system-level testing. </li><li>Develop and implement novel propulsion technologies and architectures to enhance system performance and reliability. </li><li>Conduct performance analysis and simulations of the propulsion system. </li><li>Drive system-level trade studies to select optimal propulsion technologies based on mission objectives and constraints. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including structures, avionics, and thermal, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion subsystems. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>7-10+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of spacecraft propulsion systems. </li><li>Expertise in propulsion system modeling and analysis tools, and the ability to create your own analysis tools. </li><li>Ability to lead complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders, meeting deadlines and deliverables. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Experience with chemical propulsion systems, preferably hypergolic and/or green propellant in-space systems. </li><li>Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks for propulsion system design. </li><li>Hands-on experience with propulsion test setups, including vacuum chamber testing and instrumentation. </li><li>Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting. </li><li>Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <ul> <li> <p>Base Salaries:</p> </li><li> <p>Senior Propulsion Engineer: $125,000-$160,000</p> </li><li> <p>Staff Propulsion Engineer: $155,000-$215,000</p> </li><li> <p>Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave</p> </li></ul> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Work Location-while we observe a hybrid work environment, you will need to be onsite as the business needs require. On an average week, you can expect to spend at least 4 days per week in office at our GravityWorks factory in Centennial, CO. </li><li>Travel-employees can expect to travel up to 25% to our Long Beach factory and to vendor sites. </li><li>Work environment-the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job. </li><li>Physical demands-the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving. </li></ul> <p>This position will be open until it is successfully filled.
