<p>Role Title (Moma Title): Technical Support Engineer</p> <p>Duration: 4 months</p> <p>Work Location: Papillion, NE - Fully Onsite</p> <p>Work Schedule: Normal Central Time Business Hours, Monday - Friday</p> <p>Project Overview:</p> <p>The goal of this team is reduce / minimize damage and the impact of damage for Data Center hardware. This includes inspection, testing, and repair of critical components to ensure cutting edge Data Center hardware is reliable and maintained in the Data Center environment.</p> <p>Overall Responsibilities:</p> <p>This role is a quality assurance position with primary focus to monitor and reduce damage to data center hardware parts.</p> <p>Assist the site leadership in efforts to reduce damage at each DC. This would involve spot checks of different process staging areas for proper handling, packaging and storage of parts.</p> <p>Assist in execution of the damaged parts process at the datacenter. This is the process for ensuring damaged parts are verified as damaged and quarantined and not mixed with good products.</p> <p>Identify and escalate issues affecting part damage.</p> <p>Excursion Support - Provide support of key field campaigns and failure investigations.</p> <p>Top Daily Responsibilities:</p> <p>Perform DIMM Testing to complete diagnostic test and Post Package Repair (PPR)</p> <p>Perform Special Damage Inspections/Repairs of Critical Parts</p> <p>Perform Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Quick Testing for re-inventory boards. ~100 boards per week</p> <p>Perform damage verification inspection for parts reported damaged by other onsite personnel. This is needed to insure parts are truly damaged. This inspection would involve up to 100 parts per week</p> <p>Repair of Damaged Parts</p> <p>Cleaning of thermal Paste for CPUs</p> <p>Straightening bent connectors</p> <p>Replace missing parts - CPU carrier frames, dust covers etc.</p> <p>Periodic auditing of handling and ESD processes and packing used at different touch points at each Data Center</p> <p>Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in technical field</p> <p>3+ years experience in technical field</p> <p>General knowledge of electronic parts and components used in Data Center hardware. (Examples, Motherboards, DIMMs, Hard Drives, network cards, Optic)</p> <p>1st Level Failure Analysis (FA) ability for electronic parts</p> <p>Familiarity with typical mechanical defects of electronic components and hardware</p> <p>Ability to sit for extended periods (several hours at a time) doing detailed inspection of electronic parts and components</p> <p>Familiarity with simple inspection equipment such as stereo microscopes and ring lights</p> <p>Ability to use a PC to record / report data</p> <p>Ability to write process instructions/ SOPs</p> <p>People Skills to work with and influence others</p> <p>Strength: Medium to heavy materials handling required (e.g. Lifting, pushing/pulling etc.)</p> <p>Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:</p> <p>Quality Assurance background in the electronics industry</p> <p>Background in troubleshooting / repair of server / storage and networking products</p> <p>Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases</p> <p>Skill/Experience/Education</p> <p>Mandatory</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in technical field </li><li>3+ years experience in technical field </li><li>General knowledge of electronic parts and components used in Data Center hardware.
