<p>JOB OBJECTIVE: To monitor and document the progress of Traffic Court defendant's probation and ensure compliance with the terms of their probation; monitors defendants assigned to complete Community Service and report on their compliance; to assist in criminal history research for docket preparation and serves as court security officer before, during and after court.</p> <p>This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.</p> <p>For a complete list of essential job functions, please click HERE.</p> <p>These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, one (1) year of experience in probation, law enforcement, counseling, or a related area. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: </p> <ul> <li>The candidate must meet all requirements established by the State Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST). Review details in Section 1002. </li><li>Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. </li><li>Must possess Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification within thirty (30) days of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position. </li><li>Must possess certification as Specialized Police Personnel within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position. </li><li>Must obtain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security and privacy general role certification within thirty (30) days of employment and maintain the certification for the duration of employment in this position. </li></ul> <p>DISCLAIMER:</p> <p>This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise.</p> <ul> <li>Online applications only </li><li>Applicant's answers to supplemental questions will be used to screen for minimum qualifications electronically. </li><li>Please include a complete work history when completing application.
