<p>As a Driver Manager at J & M Tank Lines, Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation solutions.</p> <p>You are responsible for managing a team of drivers, ensuring their compliance with schedules, company policy, Federal regulations and maintaining strong communication with both drivers and others on your team.</p> <p>Your primary goal will be to maximize driver performance, efficiency, and satisfaction while delivering exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Make safety-conscious decisions while ensuring compliance with all company and federal DOT policies, regulations and procedures. </li><li>Balance the needs of our customers, our drivers, and the business resulting in a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness. </li><li>Provide ongoing direction and leadership to drivers and internal associates to ensure excellent customer service, key factor achievement and associate development. </li><li>Address and resolve any operational challenges that may arise, finding creative solutions when necessary. </li><li>Collaborate with others in the organization to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention. </li><li>Manage driver payroll, vacation time and home time. </li><li>Provide direction and leadership to office, terminal or driver associates to ensure superior customer service and associate performance, keeping team members informed, focused, and motivated. </li><li>Establish strong business relationships and maintain open and timely two-way communication with the customer and driver and office associates. </li><li>Communicate daily with internal customer service, operations, maintenance and safety departments to ensure safe and timely delivery. </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with your team of drivers. </li><li>Communicate and distribute driver dispatches daily. </li><li>Manage and support drivers through all necessary paperwork through J&M Mobile App and electronic log systems. </li><li>Work as a team and cross train with Customer Service and Planners. </li><li>Any necessary related tasks. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or transportation experience preferred </li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Problem-solving and decision making abilities </li></ul> <p>What we Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and performance-based bonus </li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company matching </li><li>A positive and collaborative work environment </li></ul> <p>Job Features</p> <p>Job CategoryOffice</p>
