This self-managed role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.</p> <p>At First Student, we are proud to offer:</p> <ul> <li>$23.00/hour starting wage </li><li>Tremendous career advancement opportunities due to a strong presence across North America </li><li>Positive and rewarding work environment </li><li>Opportunity to manage and mentor a growing team of 29-32 drivers </li><li>Exposure to payroll and financial planning responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Field Supervisor Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitors driver pre- and post-trip inspections and addresses equipment issues promptly </li><li>Performs driver road checks and observes drivers for work readiness </li><li>Conducts IPP safety contacts and corrects safety violations on the scene </li><li>Dispatches and drives routes as needed to support operations </li><li>Assists management with driver interviews and onboarding </li><li>Monitors on-time performance and implements corrective action when needed </li><li>Manages driver discipline and supports retention initiatives </li><li>Works with Kronos and other systems to manage timekeeping and scheduling </li></ul> <p>Field Supervisor Experience and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>3-5 years of supervisory or transportation operations experience </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs </li><li>Experience dealing with collision and injury claims a plus </li><li>Prior school bus driver experience preferred </li><li>Experience with payroll, financial planning, and Kronos is a plus </li><li>Must be self-managed and comfortable working split shifts </li><li>Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
