Today we are the world's leading provider of integrated Evac water, waste and wastewater technologies, Cathelco corrosion protection and marine growth prevention and HEM freshwater systems.</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong background in purchasing complex items and custom parts for a fast-paced, make-to-order manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and driving cost efficiency-all while supporting production goals and maintaining compliance with engineering and quality standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Source goods and services globally to meet engineered design, quality, and delivery requirements. </li><li>Create and manage purchase orders and supplier data in the ERP system, including pricing and terms. </li><li>Negotiate with suppliers, monitor vendor performance, and maintain supplier continuity while identifying cost-reduction opportunities. </li><li>Read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and drawings to ensure purchased materials meet requirements. </li><li>Oversee domestic and international freight selection, coordinate logistics, and expedite orders to meet deadlines. </li><li>Collaborate with the Master Scheduler on MRP, production planning, and scheduling as needed. </li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and mitigate supply chain risks. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Experience</p> <ul> <li>10+ years' purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (make-to-order preferred). </li><li>Proven track record of purchasing complex items and custom parts. </li><li>Strong understanding of documentation, technical drawings, and specifications. </li><li>International shipping and purchasing experience. </li><li>Prior design or drafting engineering experience is a plus. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <p>Join a company where your expertise in purchasing directly influences operational success, quality, and innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.</p>
