This is a full-time, year-round position responsible for performing general maintenance, groundskeeping, and repair work to support the safe and efficient operation of school district buildings and outdoor areas.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate, repair and maintain motorized equipment. </li><li>Perform general building and grounds maintenance tasks individually or as part of a team. </li><li>Maintain and care for landscaped areas, including mowing, trimming, and seasonal upkeep. </li><li>Lining of Sports fields. Gate and fence repair. </li><li>Maintain and repair parking lots, including crack filling, seal coating, and pothole repair. </li><li>Safely operate construction equipment, vehicles, and maintenance machinery. </li><li>Read and follow oral and written instructions accurately. </li><li>Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals and meet project deadlines. </li><li>Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and contractors. </li><li>Perform duties in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Mechanically inclined. </li><li>Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general facilities maintenance preferred. </li><li>Valid New Jersey Driver's License required. </li><li>Black Seal License must be obtained within two years from the date of hire. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Starting Salary: $45,463 </li><li>Benefits: Eligible for family medical, prescription, and dental coverage.
