The Power Conversion & Charging team optimizes energy flow between vehicle batteries, high/low voltage systems, AC/DC stations, and the grid. Enabled by high-efficiency converters & strategic system redundancy, this operation is what makes your daily drive or rideshare experience awesome - think reliable performance, extended range, seamless & rapid charging, and minimal Robotaxi downtime. The group blends software, firmware, control, and electrical engineering to keep the energy lifeline intact; their work directly impacts the powertrain while facilitating the scalability of Tesla's autonomy goals at large. In this role, you'll leverage state-of-the-art microprocessors & peripherals to design, implement and verify robust embedded software for power converters (DC/DC & DC/AC) and electronic controllers in current/future cars. Alongside talented hardware, control, system integration, and validation engineers, you'll ensure high reliability for daily vehicle use, optimize energy efficiency to enhance EV capabilities, and integrate features like Steer-by-Wire, Autonomous Driving, Advanced Charging, and Powershare. As Tesla advances its global expansion, your expertise will help shape the future of sustainable transportation and redefine how humans move.

Develop, enhance and debug new and existing real-time firmware in C for power conversion systems

Deliver high-quality C code in a safety critical real-time embedded environment

Work closely with the hardware and control teams to specify hardware actuation and sensing requirements.
