<p>We are seeking creative and highly motivated Ph.D. level scientists with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry to join our growing medicinal chemistry team. Successful candidates will be responsible for the design and synthesis of novel molecules to advance our small molecule drug discovery pipeline for innovative cancer treatment agents.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Independently design, synthesize, and characterize target molecules to support our drug discovery portfolio</p> </li><li> <p>Apply a hypothesis-driven approach and analytical data interpretation skills to rationally design biologically active molecules with drug like properties</p> </li><li> <p>Independently drive research project and formulate novel/testable hypotheses based on experimental SAR data to solve key medicinal chemistry issues</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a scientific expert in synthetic organic/medicinal chemistry with both internal and external partners</p> </li><li> <p>Formulate patent filing strategies with good understanding of patent law (FTO and patentability)</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and present research progress updates at departmental and project meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a broad awareness of technological advancements in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 0-3 years of post-doctoral, or industrial experience in synthetic chemistry and/or medicinal chemistry</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, broad knowledge of modern scientific literature</p> </li><li> <p>Strong track record of success in the synthetic methodology development and or the synthesis of complex molecules.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated a high level of creativity, productivity, and passion for science</p> </li><li> <p>Outstanding oral and written communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external co-workers</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated track record of scientific contributions including peer reviewed publications</p> </li></ul>
