Discover your opportunities at Yale!</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$72,100.00 - $111,850.00</p> <p>Overview Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of research projects on substance use disorders and adoption of best practices. Assist in the development of project work plans and evaluation strategies. Collaborate with community partners, and design and maintain tracking systems for project deliverables. Conduct basic analyses of qualitative and quantitative data. Support the creation of institutional review board (IRB) forms and submissions. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all aspects of data entry processes and prepare progress reports for investigators. Perform logical checks and edits of computerized datasets in preparation for data analysis. Translate findings and create data visualization tools to show progress. Contribute to the development of dissemination materials, including manuscripts, presentations, website creation and grant reports. Independently develops charts and figures for presentations and reports of study findings. Meet contract and grant reporting requirements. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 2. Ability to think independently, determine next steps in ambiguous contexts, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. 3. Experience working on a team conducting research, project coordination, and developing community partnerships. 4. Ability to create a database, dashboards, reports and data visualizations using software such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI. 5. Experience with data analysis software (i.e., R, SPSS, SAS, Stata). Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Master's Degree in Public Health or related field and one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of metrics to enable departments' operating oversight and external results reporting. Leverage metrics to identify business opportunities and risks to drive strategic action. 2. Create central databases from existing data currently stored in multiple data sources. Designs comprehensive databases with advance knowledge of relevant applications impacting on the data analyses and reporting. 3. Build and maintain a viable scorecard (with root cause analysis) to be used in monthly department reporting to Director and summary for CFO. Use advanced statistical knowledge to provide support in managing and analyzing data. Provide compelling and concise analysis to enable business owners to make well informed decisions regarding options for problem resolution and opportunity realization. 4. Build and maintain a costing model to be used in the calculation of YSS department cost allocation to existing and potential business units. 5. Collaborate with Finance Support Center to identify quality issues and prepare root cause analysis and action plans to improve work quality. 6. Contributes in testing and quality assurance process. Collaborates with developers and end-users to ensure that application functionality meets client needs. Tests solutions, problem-solve issues, and coordinate enhancements. 7. Plans and communicates the departmental readiness plan. Supports metrics integration and execution for optimal results. 8. Develops and delivers training to end users. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.
