<p>Environmental Monitoring Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This position is based in a cGMP compliant QC Microbiology Laboratory, supporting the manufacture of biological products. The role involves performing and providing support for environmental monitoring (EM), water testing, and process gases testing. The technician will be expected to write and interpret controlled documents and reports, review data, and initiate investigations. Interaction with other departments is essential to ensure proper environmental monitoring scheduling and sample flow.</p> <p>PAY - $28-$31/hr</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform environmental monitoring of a biological production facility according to written procedures while fully gowned. </li><li>Review EM data, analyze, and summarize data with guidance. </li><li>Perform EM and utilities sampling and testing. </li><li>Order laboratory supplies and maintain required inventory according to SOPs. </li><li>Read and report microbiological test results. </li><li>Maintain and ensure a safe laboratory environment. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in STEM (Biology preferred). </li><li>Proficiency in aseptic techniques. </li><li>Experience in a fast-paced work environment. </li><li>Familiarity with laboratory documentation and reports. </li><li>Understanding of microbial taxonomy and identification. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Environmental Monitoring or Microbiology from school or industry. </li><li>Knowledge of cGMP practices. </li><li>Previous experience in Environmental Monitoring. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position requires three months of training in all areas of EM to support GMP manufacturing activities. The role is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with weekend work every two months. There is an option to take Monday off after a weekend shift to break up the work week.
