<p>Job Title: Detailer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a talented Detailer to join our dynamic team. As a Detailer, you will be responsible for drafting and designing a diverse range of structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and sheet metal items, as well as piping and piping systems for various industrial sectors including heavy industrial, manufacturing, food processing, and distribution. You will utilize Inventor for 3D design and AutoCAD for 2D design, supporting both our metal fabrication shop and construction departments. This role involves developing detailed drawings, dimensions, and part lists for custom fabricated parts, while also assisting with field measurements when needed.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Draft and design structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and sheet metal items. </li><li>Create designs for piping systems in heavy industrial, manufacturing, food processing, and distribution sectors. </li><li>Utilize Inventor for 3D modeling and AutoCAD for 2D design. </li><li>Develop part lists for manufacturing. </li><li>Produce detailed drawings and dimensions for custom fabricated parts. </li><li>Assist with field measurements as necessary. </li><li>Correspond with engineers and project owners for troubleshooting and answering questions. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD. </li><li>2+ years of professional experience in structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and piping systems designs. </li><li>Proficiency in Inventor and 3D design. </li><li>Strong skills in CAD design work, drafting, and detailing fabrication drawings. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>General understanding of piping design and ability to draw onto blueprints. </li><li>Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and take on challenges. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is fast-paced, requiring quick turnaround designs, sometimes within 24 hours. You will spend 90% of your time at the computer designing and drafting projects, with the remaining 10% potentially visiting customer sites.
