<p>Regional Safety Coordinator</p> <p>Location: Indianapolis, IN</p> <p>Ryan Fireprotection is hiring a Regional Safety Coordinator, reporting to the Safety Director, supporting safety needs for offices and work across the Midwest. This individual will assist in coordinating safety policies, procedures, and initiatives while helping ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and company standards.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within the safety profession. This role will support the development of a positive safety culture by working closely with field teams and leadership, building relationships, and reinforcing safe work practices across the organization.</p> <p>This position will require regional travel, with occasional overnight stays during visits to job sites and branch offices.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support administration of the company new hire safety orientation program, including coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement efforts </li><li>Review of Site-Specific Safety Plans and provide feedback with guidance from senior safety leadership </li><li>Assist in identifying opportunities to improve the company safety program and share recommendations with the Safety Director </li><li>Participate in Morning Huddles, toolbox talks, and safety planning meetings </li><li>Assist with coordination and delivery of safety training (e.g., annual training, MEWP, Powered Industrial Trucks) </li><li>Help track and review leading and lagging safety indicators with guidance from the Safety Director </li><li>Support incident investigations, including documentation and root cause analysis </li><li>Conduct jobsite safety audits and provide real-time feedback to field teams, including coaching notes and recommendations </li><li>Attend and evaluate toolbox talks for effectiveness and provide feedback to teams </li><li>Assist in compiling safety metrics and maintaining accurate documentation </li><li>Assist in managing the company's PPE program including coordination and delivery to jobsites </li><li>Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging with employees and reinforcing policies or best practices </li><li>Complete assigned reports and administrative tasks to support safety performance tracking </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education/Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related field preferred, but not required </li><li>Experience: 1-3 years of experience in construction safety-related role preferred </li><li>Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30 (Construction), First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain </li><li>Knowledge: Basic understanding of OSHA standards and the construction industry </li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with field staff and leadership </li><li>Organization: Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines </li><li>Collaboration: Works effectively with teams and supports field operations </li><li>Integrity: Demonstrates professionalism and aligns with company values </li><li>Initiative: Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the safety field </li></ul> <p>Role Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 75% field time spent on jobsites or at customer sites and 25% administrative/office time </li><li>Regular presence in the field to support jobsite safety efforts </li><li>Ability to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays </li><li>Physical Requirements </li><li>Ability to walk and stand for extended periods </li><li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally </li><li>Ability to enter confined spaces and climb ladders </li><li>Comfortable working at heights above 6 feet </li></ul>
