<p>Our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is seeking an Investment Banking Associate, Consumer & Retail to join our New York City office.</p> <p>Investment Banking Associates are an integral part of the Investment Banking team. They are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring and execution of investment banking products and services for existing and prospective clients. Associates participate in client meetings, due diligence visits and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers. The Associate provides these services as part of a team consisting of Analysts, Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, and Managing Directors.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Participate in analyzing companies and client investments</p> </li><li> <p>Make recommendations to clients on investments</p> </li><li> <p>Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program</p> </li><li> <p>Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables</p> </li><li> <p>Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals</p> </li><li> <p>Interact with internal and external customers</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ years of Equity Capital Markets/Investment Banking experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in the Consumer & Retail industry</p> </li><li> <p>Strong skill in financial modeling</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Expectations</p> <ul> <li> <p>Registration for FINRA exams including Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 and Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date, if they are not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted</p> </li><li> <p>Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
