<p>Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer - 3rd Shift ACV Assembly/Test will support the assembly area of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle program on 3rd Shift. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time, up to 90%, on the shop floor resolving manufacturing related issues. You may interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.</p> <p>The Manufacturing Engineer - 3rd Shift ACV Assembly/Test:</p> <ul> <li>Applies basic knowledge of the design and mechanical systems to solve manufacturing and engineering problems. </li><li>Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations. May deliver technical presentations. </li><li>Performs technical analysis, testing, calculations </li><li>Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure that the product built conforms to technical design package specifications. </li><li>Applies basic lean/six sigma principals to drive improvements to production processes. </li><li>Interacts with employees located at multiple facilities across the country. </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing Engineering or related degree and 2+ years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>We will consider candidates with fewer years experience for a more junior position or additional experience for a more senior position </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal oversight </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude, ideally with a mechanical or manufacturing background </li><li>Good communication skills </li><li>Ability to effectively use a computer and learn new software programs </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years experience </li><li>Hands-on floor support experience, working with shop employees </li><li>Basic understanding of welding practices </li><li>Lean manufacturing experience </li><li>General knowledge of root cause / corrective action / preventive action #LI-Onsite #LI-JR1 </li></ul> <p>Pay Information</p> <p>Full-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
