<p>Stoughton Public Schools has an opening for a MLL Program Assistant Director PreK-12</p> <p>Reports to: MLL Director</p> <p>Qualifications: Master's Degree or higher Massachusetts English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching licenses PreK-6 and 5-12. Massachusetts Director's License A minimum of five years experience instructing Multilingual Learners and implementing ESL/SEI curriculum</p> <p>Salary and Conditions: Unit B Contract 195 Days Evaluate and supervise ESL Teachers and Paraprofessionals One-year appointment annually</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities Include: Assists in ensuring compliance with Federal and Massachusetts DESE guidance related to multilingual learners and the English Language Education (ELE) program Collaborates with PreK-12 administrators, teachers and staff to ensure that best pedagogical approaches are being employed to instruct multilingual students Assists in selecting and implementing curriculum materials for multilingual students districtwide for both ESL and World Language Engages in parent and family outreach by implementing events such as Bilingual Parent nights, working with ELPAC and securing translation services for families Assists in aligning ESL and World Language curriculum with WIDA and ACTFL standards and Massachusetts Frameworks Assists in organizing and implementing formal language assessments including WIDA Screener, WIDA ACCESS and WIDA Model, AVANT Stamp and the Seal of Biliteracy Assists in conducting frequent ELE program evaluations Assists with ILP: EL Plan for Success creation and dissemination to general education teachers Assists in monitoring EL student records and the ELLevation database Assists in the evaluation of ESLand World Language teachers to ensure language acquisition best practices are employed and there is adherence to the WIDA and ACTFL aligned curriculum Attends school and district wide meetings involving multilingual learners, including: ELE department meetings, World Language department meetings, data meetings, BBST meetings, IEP meetings, staff meetings and content department meetings Assists in maintaining inventory of ESL and World Language materials, texts, programs and assessments Assists in the planning and implementation of professional development related to ESL/SEI and multilingual and multicultural education Assists in any other projects or responsibilities related to the MLL program as determined by the MLL Program Director and/or the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent</p>
