The University's campus in Tiffin, Ohio, blends traditional historic and modern buildings, creating a vibrant and welcoming educational community for its students, faculty, and staff. Students can pursue associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs both on campus and online, as well as at Terra State Community College. In addition, TU offers Bachelor's in Business Administration and Master's of Business Administration degrees in Bucharest, Romania, and educational opportunities for students from Switzerland and Latin America. From academic programs in sports and recreation management to homeland security/terrorism, communication, and management, TU offers more than 40 majors through on-campus and online learning, resulting in real advantages for our students.</p> <p>GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The Online Admissions Representative will recruit and assist in attracting and selecting a qualified and diverse online student that meets Tiffin University's enrollment and academic needs. The position entails frequent phone, written, email, and virtual correspondence and evaluation of applicant files. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel is required.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Recruit and assist in attracting and selecting qualified and diverse online students who meet Tiffin University's enrollment and academic needs. </li><li>Monitor the health of the recruitment funnel for the assigned student population. </li><li>Deploy strategic communication tactics to move students through the various stages of enrollment, from prospect, inquiry, applicant, admit, commit, and schedule. </li><li>Accountable for contributing to the overall enrollment goals of the Online Admissions department. </li><li>Tele-counseling; 75+ phone calls per day. </li><li>Understand the college mission; implement and abide by the college policy. </li><li>Maintain effective interpersonal and departmental communication. </li><li>Exhibit skills and attitudes that reflect good customer service. </li><li>Engage in professional development activities to stay current on best practices, trends, and policies related to college admissions and enrollment management. </li><li>Correspond with prospective students. </li><li>Interview and counsel prospective students and families about admission, financial aid, and academic programs at Tiffin University. Counseling about general college planning is also necessary. </li><li>Contribute to the development of admission policy and procedures. Evaluate application files and recommend admission decisions. </li><li>Assist in planning and coordinating particular recruitment strategies and programs, both on and off-campus, for prospects, their families, personnel of secondary schools, and community leaders. </li><li>Willingness to work evenings and weekends is required. </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing emerging electronic communication strategies while also determining how they should impact Admission counseling efforts. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES FOR THE JOB</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative professional relationships with staff and faculty colleagues. </li><li>Strong listening and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Ability to think creatively and strategically. </li><li>Knowledge of and strong skills in the use of technological tools and systems used to support and deliver admission programs and services to prospective and current students, including creating and using such tools as databases, report generators, word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations. </li><li>Minimum technology requirements including the ability to do word processing, send and receive electronic mail and attachments, access and download information from the Web to print or create files, create and use spreadsheets (Excel), create electronic presentations (PowerPoint), update basic web site information (html.), and ability to use CRM database. </li><li>Understanding of and commitment to Tiffin University's Vision, Mission, and Values. </li></ul> <p>TIFFIN UNIVERSITY SPONSORED BENEFITS</p> <p>Tiffin University offers excellent benefits.
