<p>Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour based on experience SummaryThe Staff Trainer's primary focus is to support the growth and development of employees and the organization by designing, developing, delivering, and implementing training programs and resources by collaborating with stakeholders to determine the needs and content of courses/programs and appropriate methods of delivery.Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field. Develops training curricula and recommends or uses vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives. Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods using knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of methods, such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Coordinates administrative functions as necessary to deliver and document training programs. Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, departments, and/or external organizations. Once acquired, maintains CPR and First Aid Instructor certification to train and certify all department staff. Creates and implements change management initiatives to create an empowering workplace environment where every employee can reach their full potential. Monitors progress towards the agency's commitment to belonging and promotes the GESMV culture as well as the execution of strategies that align with the annual plan. Prepares and builds relationships among colleagues through regular communication and People and Culture training. Other duties may be assigned. Complies with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities None.Education Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation, Education, or Special Education. Year for year experience may be considered in lieu of degree. CPR/FA Instructor Certification preferred.</p> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <p>At least 3 years' experience in teaching adult learners. Must be willing to become a CPR/First Aid Certified Instructor.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Employee must have a reliable vehicle and show and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Must have flexibility to work non-standard business hours on occasion. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.</p> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <p>This person must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the needs of others, and be able to relate well to participants and staff. Perform as an expert in teaching strategies and techniques for all types of learners in order to facilitate direct application of competencies by staff to improve the skill level of participants. Must be willing to travel to various job sites to deliver training across the Agency. Ability to deal with change and daily disruptions and a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively communicate with both direct service and management staff. Must possess excellent customer service, organizational, writing, and reading skills. Must be self-motivated and be able to organize time and tasks efficiently. Must possess computer skills, be able to learn and navigate various systems, and have report writing and data collection and analysis skills.
