<p>Why do we need you ?</p> <p>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for production and process control for four production lines in Kansas City. </li><li>Specific technical leadership and knowledge required for fabricating and packaging fiberglass products. Manage controllable expenses to budget specifications </li><li>Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program for all Hot End equipment to minimize down time and maximize efficiencies </li><li>Maintain current and strive to improve process specifications and audit systems to optimize Hot End equipment performance and implement changes to minimize variations </li><li>Participate in various plant projects such as safety, WCM, training programs and preventative maintenance days. </li></ul> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <ul> <li>Develops daily process control and performs regular checks. </li><li>Actively demonstrate safety and environmental leadership, takes actions to assess and reduce the risks. </li><li>Assist/Lead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) projects </li><li>Troubleshoot and analyze the breakdowns with the help of the maintenance crew, </li><li>Standardize settings and procedures </li><li>Propose and coordinate new projects, including management of contractors when required </li><li>Prepare and execute product development trials. </li><li>Actively ensure highest quality for the finished products, optimize settings, and investigate customer complaints with the teams. </li><li>Develop and adjust the production schedule with the supply chain planner. </li><li>Manage the workflow of products on hold at the interface with the quality and supply chain departments. </li></ul> <p>Key Areas of Accountability:</p> <ul> <li>High safety and environmental standards. </li><li>Standardization of line settings and operating procedures. </li><li>Technical support for operators and shift managers. </li><li>Analyze process performances, material losses, time losses, and product quality. </li><li>Participate in product and process development including trials. </li><li>Develop an optimized production schedule with the production planner. </li><li>Deliver successful continuous improvement projects. </li><li>Supervision of contractors or engineers tasks during down days. </li><li>Develop high quality training for the Hot End Operators. </li></ul> <p>Is this job for you ?</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field. </li><li>More than three (3) years of applied professional process experience in glass manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in project management and project engineering fundamentals. </li><li>Supervisory experience to work in the Hot End of our manufacturing site. </li><li>Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. </li></ul> <p>#LI-ME1</p> <p>A little more about us</p> <p>CertainTeed's Kansas City plant, located at 103 Funston Rd in Kansas City, KS, is a major manufacturing facility for insulation products.
