Manages the day-to-day functions of the quality team including quality engineers and technicians. Is responsible for CAPA systems.</p> <p>This role is onsite in Coventry, Rhode Island.</p> <p>What you'll be doing as a Quality Systems Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Participates in modification of the Quality organizational structure and is responsible for the development of overall Quality objectives and long-range goals. </li><li>Acts as a person responsible for regulatory compliance (AS9100) for external Quality Systems Assessment agencies such as Perry Johnston and Bell/Textron Corporate Quality Compliance Auditors and in maintaining site AS9100 certification. </li><li>Serves as Lead Facility FOD coordinator </li><li>Manages training of new Quality team members as well as requisite quality training for all RT team members. </li><li>Develop, analyze, and report on a variety of Quality metrics and PEAM KPI's. </li><li>Support the senior staff and manufacturing managers to continue to implement a culture of continuous safety and quality improvement. </li><li>Directs the management of staff, including workforce planning, recruitment, skills and performance assessments, workload distribution, training compliance and documentation, professional development, and corrective action. </li><li>Advises and coaches supervisors and group leaders, and their staff on technical and operational OFI's. </li><li>Assists in the application of root cause analysis to diagnose and correct OFI's and audit findings. </li><li>Leads efforts and training for the site for AS9100 standards and coordinates with all stakeholders </li><li>Develops and documents quality metrics that are aligned with AS9100 standards </li></ul> <p>Skills You Bring to This Role:</p> <ul> <li>Quality systems and project management experience, procedure documentation </li><li>Proficiency in MS office products </li><li>Detail oriented and organized </li><li>Customer service experience </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Effective team player and critical thinking skills </li><li>ASQ Certification (CQE/CQA/CQM) preferred </li></ul> <p>What You Need to be Successful:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as Engineering or Physical Sciences </li><li>At least 5 years of experience in quality management role. </li><li>At least 15 years of experience in quality roles. </li><li>Experience in leading AS9100 compliance efforts, including but not limited to: audits, root cause/corrective actions, FOD prevention, and partnering with other disciplines to continually improve process flows and documentation </li><li>Experience with writing procedures, SOP's test reports, test plans, work instructions and other technical documents </li><li>Some domestic overnight travel required </li></ul> <p>What we offer you in return:</p> <ul> <li>You'll be off every Friday with our 4x10 work schedule </li><li>80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO) </li><li>120 hours Vacation time </li><li>12-13 paid holidays per year </li><li>6 weeks parental leave </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Competitive salary </li><li>Comprehensive health insurance </li><li>Access to Employee Resource Groups </li></ul> <p>It's time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
