Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Lexicon is seeking experienced trades professionals to join our apprenticeship training program as full-time instructors. These roles are vital to developing the next generation of skilled workers in the Structural Ironworker, Welding and Millwright trades.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead instructional sessions. </li><li>Deliver a mix of hands-on, classroom, and virtual training. </li><li>Follow established curriculum and standards for workforce development. </li><li>Teach foundational trade skills, safety practices, and career readiness. </li><li>Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. </li><li>Collaborate on curriculum development and training management. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Experience in construction industry. </li><li>Minimum of four years of full-time experience in trade instructing (Millwright, Weld, Ironworker). </li><li>Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and procedures to learners of varying skill levels. </li><li>Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to model safe practices consistently. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and foster inclusive learning. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Certifications in OSHA 10 or 30 certification </li><li>Relevant trade certifications (e.g., NCCER, AWS) are a plus </li><li>Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience in a formal or informal setting </li><li>Bi-lingual in English and Spanish </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Must be able to work in a high pressure working environment. Some weekend work and overnight travel is required. Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. Must be ethical, energetic, and have a passion for training and development.
