<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Product Engineer is responsible for managing the technical aspects of the current Glass Mat product lines. The position also is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing product development projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will play a key role in the identification and improvement of current processes and products as well as introduction and scale-up of new products/technologies that would be valuable to NGC. The incumbent shall work closely with the manufacturing team, vendors, and other allied partners to provide detailed analysis of existing products with a focus on performance improvement and sustainability. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and adherence to NGC core values during daily work is imperative.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for all DEXcell and Exp products. Manage the ongoing annual Stewardship program </li><li>Coordination: Work with various teams, including partners, contractors, architects, and engineers, to ensure alignment with project objectives. </li><li>Leadership: lead and mentor junior staff by providing training and supporting their professional development. </li><li>Monitoring: Track project progress, making adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule and within budget. Establish a detailed knowledge of competitive products and systems, their performance characteristics. </li><li>Compliance: Ensure the project adheres to applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards. </li><li>Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, including technical and safety risks. </li><li>Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback. </li><li>Safety: ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices. </li><li>Project Management: Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects from conception to completion. </li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. </li><li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor project teams. </li><li>Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree can be a plus. </li><li>Experience: Proven experience in product design and development, typically 5 + years preferred. Experience in the relevant industry (building materials) is preferred. Proven track record of successful research and developing new products/technologies and demonstrated creativity, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft tools and other internal software. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. </li><li>Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with preferred experience in using tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and root cause analysis. </li><li>Project Management: Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
