<p>The purpose of your role as a Building Automation Procurement Agent</p> <p>As a Building Automation Procurement Agent, you will be responsible for negotiation, procurement and issuance of purchase orders of equipment and materials.</p> <ul> <li>Obtain material requirements from field and send out for quotations; Extend condensed specifications, pricing, etc. for bidding purposes. </li><li>Collect submittal information for the design team. May manage submittal process for unique needs/projects. </li><li>Issue Purchase Orders </li><li>Resolve invoice/PO issues </li><li>Expedite shipments/backorders and process material credits and returns </li><li>Work closely with Estimating Dept., i.e. obtain vendor quotations, extend condensed specification, pricing, etc. for bidding purposes. </li><li>Provide equipment price comparison on awarded jobs and issue large equipment PO's. </li><li>Credit Apps for local and out-of-state vendors </li></ul> <p>What we're looking for in you</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree required, or 2-4 years of equivalent experience </li><li>Understanding of organizational purchasing/procurement processes and procedures </li><li>Material/equipment purchasing and expediting experience in the construction or similar industry preferred </li><li>Strong accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Strong written and verbal communications skills </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional </li></ul> <p>Your life at Harris</p> <p>As one of the country's leading mechanical contractors, Harris offers you the best of both worlds: the stability, resources and opportunities of a national company, and the team culture, creative spirit and customer loyalty of a local business.
