Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We're currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) to join our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department. This is a dual role that required both clinical and admin duties.</p> <p>Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under the direction of physicians and mid-level providers. Greets & escorts patient to exam room. Obtains & records vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record. Maintains a safe & clean environment for the patient. Maintains equipment & supplies. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families & coworkers. Performs additional duties as assigned.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.</p> <p>Licensure, Certification, Registration</p> <p>Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.</p> <p>All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.</p> <p>We take great care of careers.</p> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
