This role includes teaching both classroom lessons and hands-on skills, while guiding students through the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum, fostering leadership and personal growth in students, and preparing them for career development events (CDEs), competitions, and supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs). The teacher will also manage agricultural facilities, including those for horticulture and welding, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining equipment for both technical and practical instruction. In addition to classroom instruction, the AG/FFA Teacher will work closely with local agricultural businesses, industry professionals, and the broader community to enhance learning opportunities, internships, and real-world experiences. This position provides students with the skills necessary for careers in agriculture, horticulture, welding, and related fields, while also instilling leadership, responsibility, and community involvement through the FFA chapter.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below are the essential tasks performed to achieve the purpose of this job. <p>100%</p> <p>EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education or a Related Field:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A degree in Agricultural Education, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Plant Science, or a related field is required.</p> </li><li> <p>A Master's degree in a related field may be preferred for some districts or schools.</p> </li></ul> <p>Agricultural Education Certification:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification in Agricultural Education.</p> </li><li> <p>The appropriate FFA endorsement and other related agricultural certifications may be preferred or required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience in Agriculture:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience working in agriculture, whether through farming, ranching, agribusiness, or a related agricultural field.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with livestock, crop production, horticulture, and/or agricultural technology.</p> </li></ul> <p>FFA Involvement:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior experience participating in FFA during high school or college is strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated involvement in leadership roles within FFA at the local, state, or national level.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in teaching or working in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, particularly in agricultural education, is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with integrating academic and technical skills into
