<p>This is a non-civil service position with the Chancery Court Clerk & Master's Office. The Deputy Clerk I/Records Management Clerk position coordinates records requests and assists with case management, filing, case reporting and electronic filing review. </p> <ul> <li>This position is required to lift ledgers, docket books and large case files up to twenty (20) pounds.* </li><li>Communicate verbally and in writing regarding records requests and case management. </li><li>Review and process case filings into case management system. </li><li>Review electronic case filings. </li><li>Perform administrative/clerical duties as assigned with accuracy. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Associate's degree and one (1) year of professional level office administration/clerical experience.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.</p> <p> </p> <p>Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.</p> <ul> <li>Paralegal education or other legal training or law related work experience </li><li>Bilingual </li><li>Advanced skill using Microsoft Office software </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Proven organizational and time management skills with attention to detail imperative </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with people of diverse backgrounds </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
