<p>Overview</p> <p>Clinic Office Supervisor, McNeeley Family Physicians</p> <p>Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift</p> <p>Covenant Medical Group is Covenant Health's employed and managed medical practice organization, with more than 300 top Physicians and providers spanning the continuum of care in 20 cities throughout East Tennessee. Specialties include cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, infectious disease, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, occupational medicine, orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pulmonology, reproductive medicine, rheumatology, sleep medicine and urology.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Supervise and coordinate day to day office activities of a service area(s). Areas of responsibility may include, accounts receivable, insurance, credit and collections, patient registration and personnel activities, etc. Directly responsible to Office Manager.</p> <p>Recruiter: Sarah Grey || sgrey1@covhlth.com || 865-374-5271</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and safety standards in assigned functional area(s). </li><li>Train and supervise assigned personnel. Interviews and recommends hiring and termination of personnel and offers input to annual evaluation. </li><li>Maintains adequate internal controls including, but not limited to, cash receipt systems and encounter form tracking. </li><li>Handles and resolves patient complaints, referring major ones to providers or manager as needed. </li><li>Assists with solving payment and business office problems. </li><li>Assists with refund and credit adjustments to patient accounts. </li><li>Prepare and send Office Managers request for purchases, repairs, supplies and equipment needs for office. </li><li>Arranges and assigns work for short and long range staffing in their assigned area. </li><li>Researches problems pertaining to equipment, staffing and renovations and recommends solutions. </li><li>Operates assigned area within budget constraints as possible. </li><li>Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. </li><li>Follows Studer principles including rounding and AIDET. </li><li>Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned or requested. </li><li>Collaborate with the patient, physician and other care team members as part of a team based approach to overall patient care. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <p>Requires basic understanding of general office procedures and general accounting principals. Previous experience in medical office supervision. Requires effective human relations and communication skills. Clinical experience is a plus.</p> <p>Licensure Requirement:</p> <p>None</p>
