<p>Location: 6002 Parks & Recreation/Recreation</p> <p>Pay Grade: A00</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-exempt</p> <p>This position is responsible for managing the swimming pool staff and facility.</p> <ul> <li>This position performs duties deemed to be "safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City's policies* </li><li>Performs surveillance of staff and patrons in the swimming pool facility </li><li>Enforces all swimming pool facility policies, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with Tulsa City-County Health Department rules and regulations </li><li>Assigns opening and closing duties including equipment set up, restroom cleaning, trash duties, pool vacuuming, and maintenance of proper swimming pool chemical balance </li><li>Assists patrons in a friendly manner without compromising policies, rules, regulations, or surveillance duties </li><li>Recognizes emergencies and responds quickly and effectively to those emergencies </li><li>Inspects the facility on a daily schedule and reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Swimming Pool Supervisor </li><li>Complete reports and records in a professional manner </li><li>Coordinates, demonstrates, and participates in regular in-service training </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li><li>16 years of age or more </li><li>Possession of current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification (or equivalent) </li><li>Possession of current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification (or equivalent) </li><li>Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated </li></ul> <p>The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee will climb a ladder, negotiate steps and stairs, talk, and hear. The employee will occasionally lift, pull, push, or move items up to 25 pounds in weight.</p>
