<p>ZE 9th Grade Volleyball Coach JobID: 3774</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Athletics / Activities/Coach</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>2/6/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Zeeland East High School</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The ZE Girls 9th Grade Volleyball Coach is responsible to help develop and grow the girls volleyball program. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Attends athletic department meetings when scheduled. </li><li>Passes MHSAA rules meetings online on a yearly basis. </li><li>Maintains professional competency by attending clinics. </li><li>Encourages athletes to excel in academic work. </li><li>Oversees the safety conditions of the area when team members are practicing. </li><li>Enforces disciplined behavior, code of fair play, and establishes and oversees penalties for not following team and school standards. Reports all incidents to the Director of Athletics. </li><li>Establishes an effective relationship with players, parents, and administrators. </li><li>Attends practices, games, and meetings punctually. </li><li>Uses professional conduct, language, and decorum with players, opponents, officials, and fans. </li><li>Works with the Director of Athletics to maintain player eligibility information. </li><li>Keeps the Director of Athletics informed of any or all problems before, during, or after all sporting events. </li><li>Plans and supervises a regular program of practice in season. </li><li>Submits necessary rosters, physical forms and eligibility in a timely fashion. </li><li>Is a positive role model. </li><li>Maintains team attendance records and medical emergency cards. </li><li>Works to promote increased participation to improve methods, techniques, strengths, and endurance both in and out of season. </li><li>Submits written criteria for "cutting" athletes at tryouts. </li><li>Displays self-control and maintains a positive profile in contest situations with officials. </li><li>Provides supervision of locker room and training room. </li><li>Encourages volunteerism amongst athletes, parents and community. </li><li>Leads a pre-season parent meeting to discuss expectations, roles and responsibilities, league rules, safety precautions, etc. </li><li>Performs such other services and assumes such other duties as assigned by the administrator in charge, which are not in violation of the master contract, school district policies, or rules and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CPR/AED, CAP Certified Concussion Protocol. </li></ul> <p>Replacement Position</p> <p>Once the posting deadline date has been met (if applicable), the supervisor/principal will review applications and schedule interviews with the most qualified candidates.
